ABOUT
Kia ora. My name is Jane and I handcraft a variety of crochet items.
I was born and raised in Great Missenden, a small village in Buckinghamshire in the UK. In 2003 (in my 50s) I met my 2nd husband and in 2006 we emigrated to New Zealand where I worked as a legal secretary in Wellington (the capital) on the North Island.

In 2019 we moved south to Invercargill right at the bottom of the South Island and that is where I live, although I am now retired.

My grandmother taught me to crochet, and also my youngest sister. Helen is now a crochet designer (crystalsandcrochet.com) and I test many of her patterns for her. In fact one of her designs is called Nanna's hug and is based on the floral square blankets Nanna made for us all when we were younger.

One of Nanna's blankets is also on the sofa behind my sons (pic taken many years ago).
